Technology and Change Essay

For the past few weeks of Term 3, I worked on researching inventions or discoveries during the Stone age Period. We were given choices to pick which era or period to pick from and the one I have chosen is the Stone age.

Question: Explain a technology period you have studied and what some of the important inventions were in this period.

Use the Lawyer paragraph to explain this.

Paragraph 1: Introduction.

Re-state what the question is in a paragraph

During the stone age period in history, there were some significant technological advancements. Some of the inventions during this time were cave art, basic tools for gathering resources, and clothing. The Stone age period is split up to three particular periods. The Paleolithic Age, Mesolithic Age, and the Neolithic age. With recent researches being made and studies being investigated.  There were some important inventions in this period that were quite beneficial to the human race, as over time the inventions evolved into a much more refined state of its former state.

Paragraph 2: Invention 1 explained

State what the invention is, what it does and how far it has come up until today

An important invention seen during the stone age period was cave art, they were used as a way for people in the stone age as a way to express the stories that they have in their background or life. The importance of this invention was that it could be used as a way to share knowledge or history throughout the generations. For instance, a particular cave painting was mentioned in an article portraying what life was back then in that period of time. Cave paintings have an important role in preserving historical moments and what life was like in the stone age period, as other methods dating back in the stone age era period were still not invented. Over time the paintings evolved from a rough surface to a proper wall of art with vibrant colors.

Paragraph 3: Invention 2 explained

State what the invention is, what it does and how far it has come up until today

Another important invention created in the stone age period were tools. The invention of tools was a big beneficial and efficient discovery. The tools made the process of gathering resources easier and faster. The way of hunting was drastically better and a bit safer with usable weapons to use against animals the chances of successfully coming home with a feast improved. For example, relating back to the cave paintings some portray cave people using spears to hunt animals. The tools overtime upgraded to a much better creation to help humanity gather resources from nature such as chainsaws and proper tools to gather minerals from the earth.

Paragraph 4: Invention 3 explained

State what the invention is, what it does, and how far it has come up until today.

Lastly, An important invention created during the Stone age Period was the invention of clothing. Back then people hunted the animals for hunger, but some have come up with an idea to reuse the skin of the animals they have slain into questionable attire. In the cold and snowy days, fur and other heat-insulated parts of an animal were really beneficial to the humans back then. Overtime the clothes being produced or gathered from evolved into a much finer state, from animal skin to wool clothing and so on. As clothes are now daily essentials that humans need to go about in their daily lives.

Paragraph 5: Conclusion

Go over the points you have just made above

These are some fascinating inventions that were discovered during the stone age period.  These are some of the essential and important inventions seen during that period. As the things mentioned above are the things widely used in this current day and age but in an advanced state. Since the invention of these creations dating back thousands of years, Gradually as eras come and go. These will keep on evolving as the human mind has no limits and that many possibilities may still lit up and be brought upon in today’s society.

GloryGlory (Common and John Legend song) - Wikipedia

What is the song's purpose?

In my own point of view, I see at as a way for the native Americans to uphold their black civil rights movements dating back years ago.  In the current outrageous civil rights movement happening in America, the song relates to justice being served to those who do the innocent and right wrong and the brutality of police sometimes. As well as a historical event in which Martin Luther King Jr. about justice not being achieved.

What did you take from the song?

The needs for us, people on the earth to be equal in all as we share this world as one whole race. Equality among us and that the right things should be done rather than be left out unquestioned.

What did you think?
it was a roller-coaster of drama and music at the same time. it had some parts that were touching and depressing. The lyrics were actually sensible. Although in my opinion the way it was done or in rap was a bit not to my taste [cringed]

Circuit = Series and Parallel

 What is a Circuit?
A circuit is usually made by linking electrical components together with pieces of wire.

Explain the differences between series and parallel.
Series - in a straight line. A series circuit is one in which all the components are connected one after the other in only one path.
Parallel - parallel to each other. A parallel circuit is one in which the components in the circuit are parallel to each other.
Parallel
Series

What is Voltage?
it measures how much energy the current is carrying throughout the circuit.
Parallel
Series

How does it differ in series and parallel?
Series - Volts are equally the same.
Parallel - Volts are equally shared

What is Current?
the flow of electrons in a circuit.
Parallel
Series

How does it vary in series and parallel?
Series - The current is the same in all locations
Parallel - The current is shared throughout or between paths/components.
