Social : Venn Diagram
For Social Studies I did a Venn Diagram to show my learning about Pre-European Business. We researched and tried to differentiate what was the difference between Maori and other early settlers that traded with the Maoris.

Coraline
Statement
In the garden scene, music is effectively used to create mood, energy and anticipation.
Evidence
This is demonstrated by the use of Tempo, Chords and Dynamics in the music as Coraline enters the garden. The tempo is fast to create a feeling of energetic although it has lots of energy the music is in a minor key to foreshadow that things aren't quite right in the other world. It starts with quiet dynamics and gradually gets louder to build anticipation. This makes us audience ponder if something will go wrong later. But or now, Coraline is enjoying the other world. the director did this to show that the other garden is a lively and energetic place, unlike the real world.

Home Economics
This term in home economics these are the followings meals the class has done so far. The meals had good balance of protein. vitamins. carbohydrates, fat, and fiber. These are my thoughts on the meals my class has accomplished since the beginning of the second semester.
Week 1
Pita -Pockets - For the pita- pockets the my impressions of it were decent, at that time the class was getting to equipment and the space we were going to working at for the rest of the term.
What I liked about it? The food was decently cooked and was enjoyable but need to manage on our teamwork and being committing to our work
Week 2
Vegetable Nachos - we started to use more equipment like the pan and others who we may or may not have used before in cooking. The outcome was overall good and we started to get the hang of it.
What I liked about it? The vegetables were okay and the nachos were well cooked as well
Week 3
Chicken Stir-fry - For this one we started to use more ingredients and started to develop ways to make cooking easier. The final product was going good at the start and then half way went bad but we prevailed and managed to keep it eatable.
What I liked about it? the chicken was some what good and and was saute well along with the vegetables

Week 4
Spaghetti - For this meal. We did it somewhat all right but we had some issues from time to time. the outcome was passable and it was still eatable.
What I liked about it - Some of the spaghetti we cooked were not fully cooked and some of us ended up eating raw ones.
Week 5
Corn Fritters - for this week my group has been introduced to a group mate and thus we had more working spaces to occupy and so we did the cooking faster
What I liked about it - it was tasty and questionable as for some of the fritters they weren't really seasoned that well and basically it was a gamble on who gets the yummiest ones.
Week 6
Apple Crumble - for the week our class made an apple crumble on a Tuesday which was different from our normal day when we cook
Term 4
Muffin Makeover Domestic
For this week we made muffins but in a different way. we substituted some ingredients from the original recipe. the process of making it was quite straight forward although we had a few bits of mishaps while making it. We were then tasked to ask people how did it take like. I personally forgot to do it but a majority of people in the class said that the responses they got where positive.

Social Study : Ta Moko
What have I learnt about Ta Moko
It represents ones status, fame, wealth, and their past experiences. Thus making them important to their background and identity. back then in Maori societies people would be known just by looking at their Ta Moko. The way I see the Ta Moko as a sign of importance that tells people of ones experiences.
My design - with some inspiration from google pictures.
Whats the meaning of my Ta Moko?
I'm not quite sure of the outcome while making this. the thought that came into mind whilst creating this piece was kinda mixed up. I thought of making a face that went through wars, had control of some kingdom and a sense of keeping everyone safe?

Charlotte's Web = ESOL
Charlotte' Web
Gluttony is a character trait that could be used to describe something or someone that wants more than enough or having the desire to devour food.
Gluttony was a theme we saw throughout the book Charlotte's Web by E.B White. One of the characters was called Templeton the rat.The theme I picked for this character was gluttony as the way I see him is someone who is always hungry or thirsty for something.
In the entire book Temple-ton was mostly viewed as a delivery boy as he would run errands for Charlotte and the farm animals. Fetching words from discarded magazines and newspapers that will save Wilbur's life ensured that Templeton never went hungry as he was promised a reward/bait that he would get some food in exchange for his work.
Similarly, I could somewhat relate to Templeton's characteristics. My cousin who was a small and smart girl would look like she wouldn't eat much but as we kept on learning about each other I somehow realized that she would eat a mountainous amount of food per day and I thought of an idea, I baited her into helping in my studies as I was in need of help.

Maths : Geometrocity
Introduction
For the past coupe of weeks in Maths. my class was focusing on doing a project called Geometrocity and each and one of us was separated into 5 groups about 3 to 4 person on it.
D.L.O
Experience?
The project was fun and interesting. At first the way I viewed the project as boring and I thought of it as wasting my time, But as I gradually participate more of the project I started to like it and somehow I continued doing it. All though half-way when it was about to cut the nets we made I kinda lost my sanity because of putting the nets together with GLUE. Which made my fingers all sticky making it more challenging.
Nets = nets are 2 dimensional shape that folds up to make a 3 dimensional shape.
What Would I do Differently?
I preferably would do it in like a class type construction where everybody does not need to be in separate groups and rather it would be just one big group working as a team.
